Czech-American Cooperation in the World of Science Without Borders
Chargé d’Affaires at the "University of South Bohemia in the World of ScienceWithout Borders" Conference
December 1 — On November 24, U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Mary Thompson Jones spoke at the "University of South Bohemia in the World of Science Without Borders" Conference in České Budějovice, marking the 20th Anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.
The conference focused on international cooperation between University of South Bohemia and foreign scientific and research entities in the EU, the U.S. and other countries such as South Africa. Czech Ambassador to the United States Petr Kolář spoke at the conference about the positive changes and joint scientific and research achievements since the fall of the Iron Curtain.
The Spanish and South African ambassadors, representatives of partner universities and towns in Austria and German, as well as Austrian students currently on an exchange program all shared the podium with their Czech colleagues to celebrate past projects and outline future scientific and research collaboration with the University of South Bohemia.
