Boat Racing Championships
U.S. Racers Took Part in World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in the Czech Republic

September 8, 2009 

From August 26th to the 30th the 9th World Championships Dragon Boat came to the Czech Republic. Teams from 24 countries raced at the Sportcentrum Racice. Athletes came from all age groups and ability levels, including survivors of Breast Cancer. Team USA took home 1 Gold Medal, 3 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals. The winner of the Nations Cup, the award for overall excellence, was China, who won 9 medals overall.
