The Department of State organizes frequent online discussions with U.S. experts on a variety of topics. Since 2005 when the webchats were introduced by the IIP, there have been around 10 discussions per month on issues ranging from globalization to fighting crime online to jazz in America. 
These discussions are generally open to everybody who is interested.
