U.S. Embassy Hosts Trade Mission from Nevada
May 16, 2008
On May 12, 2008, a trade mission comprised of six nutraceutical (vitamin) supplements companies came to Prague, after visiting Hungary and Switzerland. The purpose of the mission was to explore business opportunities for U.S. nutraceutical products in the Czech Republic. The trade mission was organized by Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA) in cooperation with the Foreign Agricultural Service and the Foreign Commercial Service offices in Prague.
The one-day event started with opening remarks by Quintin Gray, Agricultural Counselor from Vienna and Greg O'Connor, Senior Commercial Officer in Prague, and continued with country market briefing government officials from the Czech Association for Special Foods and the Ministry of Health. The opening remarks were followed by 20+ one-on-one matchmaking business meetings and concluded with a dinner for the delegation, Czech businesspeople, and government officials at the Ambassador's Residence.
