U.S. Embassy’s Cultural Attaché Sherry Keneson-Hall spoke about her work with the media as a diplomat and her previous experience as a newspaper reporter at the lecture at the Summer School of Journalism in Havlickuv Brod on August 20, 2012.

In an interview for the local daily, she also talked about her job as the cultural attaché, the differences between journalism in the CR and the U.S. and also gave some advice to future journalists — to verify every single fact and to obey ethical standards.

The Summer School of Journalism is one week camp for the students interested in journalism. Since 2005, it has offered numerous lectures and discussions with noted media personalities from the Czech Republic and abroad, and also practical exercises in broadcast, print and online journalism work.
