Social Security and other Federal Benefits Services at Embassy Prague
In order to provide better and faster service, the Social Security Administration has changed the way that U.S. Embassies in this region provide assistance about Social Security and other Federal Benefits Services. Effective immediately Regional Experts working for the Social Security Administration will now provide this service through the Federal Benefits Unit at the American Embassy in Warsaw, Poland. The American Embassy in Prague will no longer provide most routine Federal Benefits Services.

Your initial call can be very brief. The staff in Warsaw will take your telephone number and return your call. If you do not wish to speak English, please have someone on hand who can translate for you into English or Polish. Please call Warsaw between 9:00 and 12:00 a.m. or, preferably, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.
Reminder: The fastest and safest way to receive your Social Security benefits is by direct deposit of your check into a U.S. banking account. Contact the Federal Benefits Unit in Warsaw to sign up.
