Czech-American Prize for Talented Students

Prague – September 27, 2005 

The International Institute of Political Science of Masaryk University in Brno in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States in the Czech Republic and the J.W. Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic are establishing the Czech-American Prize for Talented Students.  The official event, which will take place at the INFO USA Center (Moravian Library – Kounicova 65a, 4th floor) on Thursday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m., will be attended by the U.S. Ambassador to the ČR William J. Cabaniss, director of the J.W. Fulbright Commission in the ČR Hana Ripková, and the Vice-Rector for External Relations of the Masaryk University in Brno Mikuláš Bek.

The competition is intended for university students of all study levels and recent graduates who wrote or are currently writing a text about relations with the U.S.  This year's competition is focused on political science and international relations. The winner will be awarded 10,000CZK and will have the possibility to publishing his text in one of the editions of the International Institute of Political Science of Masaryk University.  Authors of other selected texts will be awarded TOEFL and GRE vouchers.

 

Česko-americká cena pro talentované studenty

Mezinárodní politologický ústav Masarykovy univerzity v Brně ve spolupráci s Velvyslanectvím USA v ČR a Komisí J.W. Fulbrighta v ČR zakládají Česko-americkou cenu pro talentované studenty. Slavnostního vyhlášení, které se uskute�?ní ve �?tvrtek 29. září v 11 hodin v centru INFO USA (Moravská zemská knihovna – Kounicova 65a, Brno, 4. patro), se zú�?astní velvyslanec USA v České republica William J. Cabaniss, ředitelka Komise J.W. Fulbrighta v ČR Hana Ripková a prorektor pro vnější vztahy Masarykovy univerzity v Brně Mikuláš Bek.

Soutěž je ur�?ena univerzitním studentům všech stupňů studia a �?erstvým absolventům, kteří napsali nebo píší práci tématicky související s USA. Letos je vypsána výhradně na práce zaměřené na politologii a mezinárodní vztahy. Vítěz získá odměnu 10.000 K�? a možnost vydat svůj text jako knihu v jedné z edi�?ních řad Mezinárodního politologického ústavu MU. Kromě vítězné práce budou odměněni také autoři dalších vybraných textů a to poukázkami jazykové zkoušky TOEFL nebo GRE podle vlastního výběru.
