INFO USA CENTER Ribbon-Cutting Opening Ceremony Prague, May 4, 2005
On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Liberation of Pilsen and West Bohemia by the U.S. Army, INFO USA will officially be opened at the American Center (Dominikánská St. 9) on Thursday May 5 at 11:30. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony the U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic William Cabaniss and Lord Mayor of Pilsen Miroslav Kalous will make brief remarks.
INFO USA Centers are partnerships between U.S. Embassies and host institutions, in this case between the U.S. Embassy in Prague and American Center in Pilsen. These centers provide access to current and reliable information about the United States via book collections, the Internet, and through local programming to the general public. The book collections include reference titles, works of fiction, business and government publications. INFO USA also provides supervised Internet access, audio and video products, CDs, and CD-ROMs. Access to INFO USA is free and open to the general public.
