Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce Will Join U.S. Companies Representatives in Flood Relief Donation to Decin

The Czech headquarters of U.S. Air Products and Chart (local branch Ferox), and the U.S. pharmaceutical firm Pfizer responded to the call for further flood relief by contributing to the purchase of dryers needed countrywide following the recent floods. In cooperation with the Foreign Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy, Air Products and Ferox agreed to donate 21 air blowers worth CZK 300,000 to the city of Decin. Pfizer has agreed to donate 11 dryers worth CZK 150,000 to Decin Health Center. U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce Nealton Burnham, managing directors of Air products - Vaclav Harant and Ferox - Gerd Kirchgassner, and representative of Pfizer will donate the equipment to Decin Mayor Vladimir Medek and to the Health Center. The official ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 24, at 10:00 a.m. at the Decin Town Hall.
