Meeting of Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan

Prague, May 6, 2009 – On Thursday, May 7, Serzh Sargsyan, the President of Republic of Armenia, and Ilham Aliyev, the President of Republic of Azerbaijan, will meet at U.S. Ambassador’s Residence for talks convened under the auspices of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Bryza, Russian Ambassador Yuri Merzlyakov, and French Ambassador Bernard Fassier.)  The Presidents and Minsk Group Co-Chairs will discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Media timetable:

  • No later than 10:00 AM Media arrive at U.S. Residence (ul. Dr. Zikmunda Wintra 3, Prague 6)
  • 11:3 0AM  Photo spray of Presidents’ welcome
  • No later than  1:00PM  Media arrive at U.S. Residence
  • After  1:30PM Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers’ press statements

In between the two press events, media can stay or leave the Residence. A security check will be required at every access to the Residence.
