Live Debate: Digital Politics and US Elections

A series of discussions on the 2008 US elections will be hosted by US embassy London in partnership with the Financial Times and YouGovStone. The inaugural event, "Digital Politics – Effects of the Information Age on the 2008 U.S. Election and Beyond" which takes place on Thursday May 15 between 7.30 and 9.00 pm, will be chaired by Gideon Rachman, the Financial Times’ chief foreign affairs columnist. Among the panelists will be Phil Noble, founder of political and public affairs consulting firm Noble & Associates, Washington D.C. and portal PoliticsOnline focused on digital politics; Joanna Shields, international president of the social networking site Bebo, San Francisco, California; Dr. Andrew Chadwick, head of the department of Politics and International Relations and founding director of the New Political Communication Unit at Royal Holloway, University of London and Jimmy Leach, director of digital communications, Freud Communications and former head of digital communications for the U.K. Prime Minister’s Office.
