"Convoy of Liberty" - the annual parade of historic U.S. Army vehicles
From Kampa to the U.S. Embassy at Tržiště Street
Czech, American and Belgian veterans gather each year at the beginning of May to commemorate the liberation of Czechoslovakia by General Patton’s Army. The vehicles then travel throughout Bohemia, visiting towns that have their own liberation ceremonies.

Liberation Festival

Since 1990 the tradition has grown up of organizing an annual Liberation Festival in May. People come to the city from all over the world to welcome in the spring with music and dance, to meet American veterans and their friends and relatives, and of course to drink Pilsner beer.
