The Embassy Opens Its Door to the Czech Students
March 11, 2011
The Embassy hosted 15 Junior Ambassadors on February 25th at the Chancery and the Ambassador’s residence for a day of presentations on what the U.S. Embassy does and why it matters in the Czech Republic.
The Junior Ambassadors heard from Ambassador Eisen, several American diplomats, and Mr. Jaroslav Kurfurst from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Kurfurst gave a well received presentation on the work of the Czech Diplomatic Corps throughout the world and how young Czechs can prepare for a career with the Ministry.
Junior Ambassadors Day is a bi-annual event held in cooperation with Rotary International District 2240 for high school students throughout the Czech Republic. Students are selected based on their participation in their schools and communities and on essays.
