Roundtable at the American Center
Heritage Foundation Defense Analyst Baker Spring Addresses Journalists, Students

February 15, 2008

Heritage Foundation missile defense analyst Baker Spring participated during a recent visit to the Czech Republic in a series of meetings and presentations intended to provide his Czech audiences with detailed information on missile defense. Spring had a chance to discuss this important bilateral priority with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense. He also delivered a lecture to Pilsen university students and met with Pilsen Mayor Pavel Roedl, lunched with leading Czech journalists and participated in a roundtable organized by the Association for International Affairs at the American Center.

Baker Spring focuses on the global context of missile defense, examining the threat of ballistic missiles from Third World countries and U.S. national security issues. In 2005, he developed "Nuclear Games, " a table-top exercise to show diplomats from Australia, China, India, Japan,  Russia and South Korea the realities in a world where many nations, including rogue states such as North Korea, have nuclear weapons. Please click here for his biography.
