Researcher in theater arts and writer
Ms. Peschel spent her Fulbright year in Prague (2004/2005) studying Czech theater history at Charles University and carrying out research on Czech-language theatrical performance in the Terezín Ghetto, including extensive interviews with survivors. Ms. Peschel is currently back in the Czech Republic editing a collection of scripts written by the Terezín prisoners. The book Divadelni texty z terezínského ghetto/Theatertexte aus dem Ghetto Theresienstadt 1941-45 will be published bilingually in Czech and German by Akropolis (Prague) in the fall of 2008.
