Eva Heyd: Photography and Glass Objects in the Atrium of Wratislaw Palace

Eva Heyd

Eva Heyd works in the field of art photography, for many years she is experimenting with the use of photographic image in three-dimensional objects.

Born in Prague, she worked as a photographer and a journalist here until 1985, when she immigrated to the United States. For twenty years, she lived in New York and worked as freelance photographer for prestigious museums and galleries (e.g. Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, Museum of Art and Design, etc.) and participated on dozens of art photographic publications.

In her own artwork, she focused on art photography and fine art projects that experiment with the use of photographic image. She has exhibited in art galleries in New York and other cities around the States. Following her return to the Czech Republic, she settled down in the town of Rožmitál pod Třemšínem. Recently, she works on photographs and collages inspired by the mountain landscape of Brdy.
