Cultural Attaché Launches Czech Author’s Book about the U.S. Great Depression of the 1930’s

US Embassy Cultural Attaché David Gainer participated in the launching of Milan Vodicka’s newest book “Den kdy dosly prachy” on June 22. This book, written by Czech journalist Milan Vodicka  deals with historical facts concerning the Great Depression, its effects and changes on human life, and what we should be prepared to face now. Godfathers of the book were writer Arnost Lustig and economist Tomas Sedlacek.
