Czech Buildings Go Green

September 18, 2009 — On Tuesday September 15, 2009, the Czech Green Building Council (CzGBC) was founded with a festive afternoon meeting at the National Technical Library and a subsequent reception at the Residence of the U.S. Ambassador in Prague. The Czech Green Building Council is a non-profit association encouraging the market, educational, and legislative conditions necessary to promote high performance construction that is both sustainable and profitable. 

The Council will introduce and implement a green building certification to ensure market transformation and the rapid development of the green building segment which will recognize exemplary projects. Currently the Council has 14 founding partners. For more information, please visit the Czech Green Building Council at www.czgbc.org.
