Choreographer Katherine Kramer Retraces the Growth of Jazz

Prague, March 17, 2009 – American choreographer, teacher and stepper Katherine Kramer invites you into the world of jazz.  In American Centers in Brno and Prague, this renowned choreographer and movement coach will reveal the roots of jazz, explore how this art form evolved as an expression of American culture and discuss what dance forms developed alongside jazz music. Film clips, dance and music will be on the program as well.

Katherine Kramer has worked with many musicians, choreographers and dancers.  In March she is working as a Fulbright Senior Specialist on a project organized by the Academy of Performing Arts’ Music Faculty.
