Farewell to the Summer holidays at the American Center

September 4, 2009

Czech children, full of holiday stories who experienced an unusual summer in the U.S., came to the American Center Garden to spend their last free evening before the new school year began.

The Children and Youth Choir Rolnička Praha, led by choirmaster Karel Virgler, presented samples from their recent American tour which included performances at the Czech National Building in New York and the Michigan music festival ‘Children of the World in Harmony’. You can read more information about their tour here.

Another two high school students, Anna Štindlová from Prague and Stanislav Fořt from Tábor, told different stories from their week-long International Space Camp in Huntsville NASA center, Alabama. With Czech Star Trek fans we looked back at a successful summer space season, and the first Czech-American Marine Petra Lovětínská-Seipel opened the new fall/winter season, which we hope will be as successful as the summer season.
