Call of DudyCall of Dudy / Bohemian Bagpipes Across Borders

Documentary film screening with live Czech bagpipe music Blaťácký soubor from Ševětín

When: Thursday, October 29, from 6 p.m.
Where: American Center, Tržiště 13, Prague 1 - Malá Strana

Call of Dudy is the first and only documentary film (CZ, 52min) on the Czech bagpiping tradition. Shot in South and West Bohemia, the film captures the people and the places which are keeping this centuries-old tradition alive today and for future generations. Michael Cwach, Fulbright student, inspired Jefe Brown to make the film, which has been screened across Europe and the United States.

The band Blaťácký soubor from Ševětín represents the musical traditions of the Blata region.
