The American Center used the opportunity to open an exhibition of photographs by Czech-American journalist Dušan Neumann. His black and white photographs, never before displayed in the Czech Republic, were taken during the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 and testify to the violence and disruption of life on the streets of Prague.

The program, accompanied by a lecture by renowned U.S. military historian Edward Luttwak, drew a packed hall of various age and backgrounds, eager to look through the exhibition and discuss their views with Mr. Luttwak during the Q&A session. In addition to the lecture, Mr. Luttwak appeared in morning interview on main Czech TV channel and was interviewed for aktualne.cz, a major Czech online news server as well as the Z1 news TV.
