Ambassador Graber Updates Mayors on Radar Talks

Ambassador Richard Graber visited a small village of Misov near the planned radar site in Brdy, where he met with three mayors of nearby municipalities, local residents and journalists. The Ambassador, who visited the village last year, updated the audience on U.S.-Czech negotiations and the NATO Summit in Bucharest.

People asked about possible Russian inspections at the U.S. facility, about investments in local infrastructure, job opportunities at the radar construction and its maintenance, and where the U.S. personnel would live and shop.” The Czechs will be able to participate both in the construction and the maintenance of the facility,” said the Ambassador.
