Senate speaker Stech greets Ambassador Eisen.

Ambassador Norman L. Eisen met with Czech Senate Speaker Milan Stech. They discussed current international issues, especially the changes in Egypt and other countries in the region.  In this connection, Norman Eisen praised the transition of the Czech Republic to democracy, which can serve as an example of peaceful and successful transformation. 

The Ambassador recalled Prague as a place where U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev signed the new START treaty. He also added that he will be closely following plans for the construction of the nuclear power plant in Temelin.
