Ambassador Norman Eisen delivered remarks at a FONTES RERUM think tank panel about the role of the United States in the Twenty-first Century on June 14. This event was moderated by FONTES RERUM President Jan Mladek and the other panelists were Director of the Institute of International Relations Petr Drulak and Chamber of Deputies Deputy Speaker Lubomir Zaoralek, the CSSD shadow foreign minister.

Some of the issues discussed were: whether the U.S. will be the lone superpower as in the late 20th century; will the U.S. favor the Pacific to the detriment of the North Atlantic; what will become of the relationship between the U.S. and the European Union; and what is the future of the Czech-American relationship?
