Air Force Major Discusses with Students in Opava

On April 29, under the auspices of U.S. Embassy-Prague’s “Speakers’ Bureau”, U.S. Air Force Major Jason Gross discussed with students of Opava’s Mendelovo Gymnasium life as an Air Force officer, current developments in Iraq and Afghanistan and his impressions of President Barack Obama’s first 100 days in office.
Major Gross also participated in the rededication of the enlarged World War II memorial in Hrabyne, which now also displays exhibits about the Czechoslovak legions and Czech pilots who continued resisting Nazi rule from bases in other European countries.
