Tips for an Efficient Visit

When visiting the ACS and Immigrant Visa section, please keep the following in mind, which will help ensure that your needs are met as efficiently as possible.

·        Be prepared with all required documents, as detailed on the appropriate forms you received or on the Embassy website.  Please see the links on the left for specific services requirements.
·        Bring your U.S. passport or other proof of your U.S. citizenship.
·        Plan your visit for the end of the week, for non-urgent issues.
·        Come early, as most services are provided based on first arrivals.
·        Please allow sufficient time to complete your service before the office closes. Allow at least 30 to 45 minutes to process most non-appointment services, such as notarial services. 
·        Be patient, as the Consular staff provides the same quality service to everyone.
