Czech Republic joins the Schengen zone

The Czech Republic joined the Schengen visa zone on December 21, 2007.  Please review this brochure from the Czech Ministry of the Interior, which provides detailed information for short-term travelers who plan to travel without visas, Schengen visa holders, and individuals with residence in the Czech Republic.  Additional information for U.S. citizens can be found on our website under Schengen and Residency Issues.
