Services for U.S. Citizens
Fees and Payment Options
The American Citizen Services unit only accepts payment for services in U.S. dollars and Czech crowns. You may use cash or credit cards issued by American Express, Visa, MasterCard, or the Discover Card. We do not accept personal checks.
Fee Schedule

Name change requested within 1 year after issuance of passport: NO FEE

Change of name requested more than one year after issuance of passport: $110 or the Czech equivalent

Passport renewals for adults: $110 or the Czech equivalent

Passports for minors under the age of 16: $105 or the Czech equivalent

Additional visa pages: $82

Lost/stolen passport replacement and all other passport applications: $135 or the Czech equivalent

Consular Reports of Birth Abroad: $100 or the Czech equivalent
Current Embassy exchange rate: 1 USD = 20 CZK
Passport Courier Delivery Fee
A passport courier delivery fee is 150 Czech crowns. The fee has to be paid directly at the Ceska Sporitelna bank or by money order at the Czech Post office. The money order form is available at the U.S. Embassy lobby. The passport number should be quoted as the variable symbol. Because the service is provided by EPS and is not an Embassy-provided service, it is not possible to pay at the U.S. Embassy for the messenger service.
