ABCHI Home Experts Enters Czech Market

On September 12, the ABCHI Home Experts company launched at the American Center of the U.S. Embassy in Prague its operation in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Its franchise licensees will offer independent home inspections for buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and mortgage institutions.

U.S. Ambassador Norman Eisen opened the presentation. He noted that it is a simple idea, but one that works: “Create a trusted network of qualified inspectors who follow principles of objectivity, independence, and credibility, and that minimize risk for buyers and sellers; brand this network so consumers recognize a name they can rely on; and then expand it first across the nation, and then the world.  Home inspection is quickly becoming a standard step in all real estate transactions.   A licensed home inspector can find things a simple walk through can’t – mold, asbestos, electric wiring, termite damage and more.”

President Bill Redfern of the A Buyer’s Choice Home Inspections company in the United States said that the Czech Republic is already the sixth country where ABCHI has launched operations. He pointed out that the service “is not only about protection for the buyer; also the real estate agent or seller gains more prestige.  We have already prevented many possible lawsuits linked to the technical conditions of houses.”

The Czech branch ABCHI Home Experts has been intensively working on starting the home inspection business. “By the end of the year, we would like to have covered all the regional capitals and some other larger cities,” said Tomas Simon, representative of ABCHI Home Experts.

During the evening, the ABCHI Home Experts professionals also demonstrated the tools of their trade, including  thermal imaging cameras, lasers and electric outlet meters.
