An Open-Air Concert Commemorates the 10th Anniversary of 9/11

The Plastic People of the Universe perform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on September 11, 2011.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic together with the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic and the American Center, U.S. Embassy Prague commemorated the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 events with a concert by The Plastic People of the Universe in the gardens of the Czernin Palace.
The victims of the terrorist attacks were remembered by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jiří Schneider, Minister of Defense Alexandr Vondra, Mayor of Prague Bohuslav Svoboda, and the Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Joseph Pennington.
The Ambassador of the United States Norman Eisen joined the crowd during the concert. At the end of the performance, the Ambassador thanked more than 2000 visitors who attended the concert.
