7th Annual Daniel Pearl World Music Days to be Held October 1-31, 2008

In remembrance of Daniel Pearl, American journalist and talented musician, who was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002, his family established The Foundation, organizing Annual Daniel Pearl Music Days.  Concerts organized during October 1 – 30, 2008, can become a part of the Seventh year of the international project, this year titled „Harmony for Humanity“.  Organizers wish that a univeral language of music,  resonating all over the world, facilitates communication and inspires hope of the global community, thus celebrating the memory of their son, through music which he loved.

Concerts dedicated to the memory of Daniel Pearl can be registered on web page  http://www.danielpearlmusicdays.org/.  By a statement from a stage or in a written program, composition or song is dedicated to support of tolerance and friendship of people from different cultures. Participants in the project have no financial obligation to the organizers and this is not a fundraising event for the Daniel Pearl Foundation (http://www.danielpearl.org/).

Musicians can also contribute to “Harmony for Humanity e-Stage,“ a web based collection of selected words and music inspired by Daniel Pearl and the pursuit of global harmony.  During the Music Days, a dedicated internet radio station plays original songs and compositions as well as themed broadcasts.
