The Commercial Section of the United States Embassy in Prague has a new Commercial Counselor, Mr. Greg O’Connor. Mr. O’Connor, who will lead the charge to help U.S. businesses explore export opportunities in the Czech Republic, takes over from Mr. Richard Steffens, who moves on to his next assignment in Ukraine.
After graduating from Georgetown University, Mr. O’Connor worked in several capacities at the International Trade Administration’s headquarters in Washington D.C. In 1998 he joined the U.S. Commercial Service and served as a Senior Trade Specialist at the Minneapolis Export Assistance Center. Most recently, he served as Commercial Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul.
Together with Commercial Attaché Ms. Erin Butler-Mueller, Mr. O’Connor will work to promote the Czech Republic as an excellent market for U.S. exporters.
Members of the Prague business, government, and diplomatic communities welcomed Mr. O’Connor and gave a farewell cheers to Mr. Steffens on August 24 during a tour in a historical tram cruising the Prague downtown.
We offer a warm welcome and all success in Prague to Mr. O’Connor and wish good luck to Mr. Richard Steffens at his next assignment.
