Students from Gymnasium Na Zatlance Learn about the Work of the U.S. Embassy
December 13, 2007
On Wednesday, December 12, students from Gymnasium Na Zatlance visited the American Center as part of the Embassy’s Speakers Bureau Program. U.S. diplomats introduced the work of different sections of the Embassy and briefed the students about the U.S. diplomatic service.
The program was mainly focused on students’ opportunities in the U.S. e.g. how to get a visa and how to study and travel in the U.S. Embassy representatives Hart Nelson from the Political-Economic Section and Margaret Bula-Duane from the Consular Section discussed various topics from everyday life in America, culture, history to economics and sports.
The students finished their visit with a tour through the American Center library, where Research Specialist Milos Dlabal reviewed the Center’s services and resources.
