U.S. Embassy Presents the Fourth Annual Alice Garrigue Masaryk Award to Respekt Magazine for its Analysis and Reporting on Issues of Human Rights and Democracy

On the occasion of the 59th anniversary of International Human Rights Day, U.S. Ambassador Richard Graber presented the Alice Garrigue Masaryk Award to Respekt magazine on Monday, December 10, at the Ambassador's Residence.
The U.S. Embassy in Prague established the Alice Garrigue Masaryk Award to recognize persons in the Czech Republic who have made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of human rights in the country through courageous promotion of social justice and defense of democratic liberties.
This year, the recipient of the award is Respekt magazine for its outstanding commitment to objective analysis and reporting on issues of human rights and democracy.
