U.S. Ambassador Visits Light House AIDS Shelter

Observing the World AIDS Day (December 1), U.S. Ambassador Richard Graber and his wife Alexandria visited the Lighthouse (Dům světla) convalescent home run by Czech AIDS Help Society (CSAP).  During the visit, CSPA representatives presented the Lighthouse's activities and long-term projects and discussed HIV/AIDS related issues in the Czech Republic.

Ambassador Graber aknowledged the work of the NGO: "The Lighthouse, which is administered by Czech AIDS Help Society, provides an excellent example of NGO-sector leadership in providing a whole range of critical HIV/AIDS-related services – from information on preventing the spread of HIV to providing compassionate care for those people living with HIV and AIDS.  The Government of the United States is committed in the global fight against HIV/AIDS and greatly appreciates the work of organizations like the Czech AIDS Help Society."
