Ambassador Graber Opens Exhibition "Friends of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Czech Republic"

Ambassador Richard Graber opened on Wednesday, October 17 an exhibition launching the activities of a new branch of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. :  Friends of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Czech Republic. The Friends plan activities, mostly exhibitions, seminars and lectures, promoting Czech female artists and support their cooperation with the American art scene.

The first ever exhibition shows large scale photos "Come, I´ll Show You the Way Through Paradise II" by prominent Czech artist Milena Dopitová, and was opened with a musical performance by Gabriela Demeterová, exceptional Czech violinist.

Besides the US Embassy, auspices for the project were provided by Karel Schwarzenberg, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The exhibition lasts until November 30, 2007, Mon-Thu 1 – 4 p.m. at the American Center, Tržiště 13, Prague 1.
