Hometown Lessons From Community Foundations Support Ambassador's Transparency Initiative

Doris Heiser, Development Director of the Greater Milwaukee Community Foundation, gave expert advice to members of the new Association of Community Foundations at a seminar at the Ambassador's Residence, followed by a reception hosted by U.S. Ambassador Richard Graber.

This program built on an Embassy grant to the Association for a late August joint meeting with their Slovak counterparts Ms. Heiser also held seminars with the Czech Fundraising Association and the Czech Donors' Forum. The lessons provided state of the art advice on fostering philanthropy and building community spirit.
