Ambassador Jackson McDonald, Senior U.S. Advisor for Security Negotiations was in Prague for the second round of negotiations

Ambassador Jackson McDonald, Senior U.S. Advisor for Security Negotiations and a 10-member negotiating team was in Prague September 11-12 for the second round of negotiations with the Czech Ministry of Defense related to reaching a status of forces agreement.

According to McDonald, the exchanges of views took place in a warm and constructive atmosphere. He noted that in certain areas consensus had been found, while other areas required further talks.

“I am leaving Prague with the conviction that in the course of the negotiations, the Czech Republic and the United States would be able to reach an agreement advantageous for both sides.”
