Junior Ambassador Program

Ambassador Richard Graber announced on December 13 that the U.S. Embassy will launch a Junior Ambassador Program in 2007, in partnership with the Czech Rotary Club. He explained that Rotary Club chapters throughout the Czech Republic will be invited to select the most promising young people in their communities to be the “Junior Ambassador” to the U.S. Embassy. The Junior Ambassadors and their Rotary Club Sponsors will travel to Prague to spend the day at the Embassy. They will be honored in a ceremony by the Ambassador, and be briefed on Czech-American relations, trade between the countries, and travel and educational opportunities in the United States. The fun and informative day will conclude with a dinner at the Ambassador's Residence. The Ambassador expressed his hope that the program will foster lasting friendships with the next generation of Czech leaders, and strengthen the existing ties between the two countries.
