Grand Opening of the American Center

Ambassador Richard Graber inaugurated U.S. Embassy Prague‘s new American Center on Thursday, December 7.  At the same time, he opened a new exhibition of portraits of American writers by renowned New York photographer Nancy Crampton.
The American Center is located next to the U.S. Embassy in Wratislav Palace at Tržiště 13 and is open to the public Monday to Thursday from 1 – 4 p.m.
The Center features a regularly updated collection of books on American foreign policy, diplomacy and culture; a selection of American journals and magazines in print or through online databases, including the recently purchased scholarly database JSTOR.  All these resources are available free of charge to anyone with an interest in the United States.
The Center also organizes and contributes to conferences, discussions, film screenings, exhibitions and concerts. These events are advertised in advance on the mainpage of the Embassy website. For more information, please visit the Center or take a look at its website.
