Ambassador Participated at a Missile Defense Conference

Ambassador Richard W. Graber and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Brian Green, spoke on U.S. Missile Defense October 19, at a conference organized by the Institute of International Relations.  In his opening remarks, Ambassador Graber congratulated the Czech military at the conclusion of the nation’s largest military exercise, “Strong Campaigner,” adding that Czech participation in missile defense “would be an opportunity for a Czech leadership role in the defense and security of Europe.”  Defense policy expert Brian Green stressed the critical role missile defense can play in defense, in tandem with traditional nonproliferation and counter-proliferation efforts.
