Conference on Public Corruption

The U.S. Department of Justice in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Prague and the Czech Ministry of Interior sponsored a four day conference (April 3-6, 2006) on Public Corruption where specialists from the U.S. shared their experiences in fighting public corruption with their Czech and Slovak counterparts.

The major discussions led by an Assistant United States Attorney and a FBI agent included best practices and tools used to combat public corruption in the U.S. and the Slovak legal system. Several issues discussed included; use of crown witness, sting operations, and conflict of interest laws.
