Governor Doyle
 Governor Doyle
Jim Doyle, governor of the U.S. state of Wisconsin, led a trade delegation of investors from his state to the Czech Republic
in November 9 to November 13, 2005 meant to increase trade between the two economies.

The mission focused on representatives from manufactures of industrial machinery, environmental and pollution-control equipment, medical devices and value-added food products.  There are also several Wisconsin companies with operations in the Czech Republic that the Governor met.

Governor Doyle's Grow Wisconsin Plan includes assisting small and medium-sized companies in increasing their exports around the world.  Trade missions are one of the strategies of his administration to help companies gain access to new markets. Wisconsin exports were up 109 percent to the Czech Republic for the first quarter of 2005 and has strong potential for further growth.

The mission delegation included 23 representatives from businesses including: Ariens Company of Brillion; Greenheck Fan Co. of Schofield; Badger Meter, Inc. of Milwaukee; Neuske’s Applewood Smoked Meats of Wittenberg; Harley-Davidson of Milwaukee; Chippewa Valley Bean Company of Menomonie; Symphony Corporation of Madison; Bonstone Materials Corporation of Mukwonago; Serigraph of West Bend; Elwood Corporation of Oak Creek, Dai Shin Technologies of Waukesha; United Tank Systems of Stockbridge; and PriceWaterhouseCoopers of Milwaukee.
