The U.S. Embassy Hosts NGO Leadership Training Conference

The U.S. Embassy developed, funded and organized a major conference in the Czech Republic which brought together 40 non-governmental organization managers from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia for an intensive and interactive training course aimed at building leadership capacity.

The U.S. Embassy in Prague collaborated closely with the respective embassies in other countries to nominate 40 participants to represent key NGOs. An expert team of international trainers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the U.S implemented the training curriculum. A conference highlight included a reception for participants and trainers, hosted by Deputy Chief of Mission Cameron Munter, who discussed the role that the Embassy has played in supporting the development of the NGO sector.
