Central European Organized Crime Conference

The Legal Attache Office and the Czech National Police co-hosted the annual Central European Organized Crime Conference in Prague from October 3 - 7, 2005. Ambassador Cabaniss and Interior Minister Bublan gave opening remarks and welcomed the attendees.

Representatives from 16 countries were present to exchange ideas based on the conference theme “Best Practices”. Also, FBI, Deputy Assistant Director Deborah Pierce, Criminal Investigative Division attended the conference with colleagues from the Transnational Criminal Enterprise Section based in Washington, D.C..  Each country representative gave a presentation highlighting some unique investigative tool and/or method employed that furthered an ongoing investigation.
