Combating Drug Trafficking Program

Two U.S. specialists on drug trafficking participated at a few days joint program of Czech Judicial Academy and the U.S. Embassy in Prague. This specialized workshop, that attended 80 prosecutors and judges, took place in Klatovy second week in October 2005 and focused on questions of gathering evidence in drug cases as well as questions of admissibility of certain evidence in the court. Issues such as wiretapping, crown witness, assets forfeiture and other legal tools to combat trafficking in drugs were deeply discussed.

AUSA John Vaudreuil, Chief of the Criminal Department at the United States Attorney’s Office of Western District of Wisconsin together with U.S. DEA Special Agent shared experience with representatives of Czech National Drug Headquarters, government officials and addressed about 70 students of Czech Police Academy.
AUSA Vaudreil provided intervies to Pravo dailies and CT24. You can find more here
